Laphroaig 10 years Sherry Oak Finish 0.7l, alc. 48 Vol.-%

The Laphroaig Distillery was officially founded in 1815 in the south of the Scottish Hebridean island of Islay. At the time of Prohibition, the distillery's whiskey was sold as medicine, which explains the appearance and features of the whiskeys. In 1994 the distillery received the 'Royal Warrant' from King Charles III. presented. He appreciates the smoky single malt whiskey from Laphroaig and visits the distillery regularly. Laphroaig means something like "the beautiful hollow on the wide bay".

Laphroaig 10 Year Old Sherry Oak first matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks and was then finished in Oloroso sherry casks. Bottled at 48 vol. % alcohol, not chill filtered.

Aroma: Chocolaty sweetness with subtle spiciness, roasted nuts with hints of dark fruits, smoky.

Taste: Sweet with herbal honey and some spice, blackberries, nut chocolate and medicinal peat smoke.
