The Talisker distillery was built in 1831 on the Scottish Isle of Skye. The name is derived from the Talisker House property, located a few miles west in the mountains. After a fire in 1960 that almost completely destroyed the distillery, Talisker was rebuilt true to the original a few years later. Skye's breathtaking landscape attracts countless tourists to the distillery every year, many of whom are enthusiastic about the distillery's peppery, smoky single malt.

Talisker Special Releases 2023 matured for an unspecified time in a combination of White, Tawny and Ruby Port casks . Bottled with a powerful 59.7 vol. % alcohol.
