The single malts of the "Smokehead" brand come from the pen of independent bottler Ian MacLeod. For lovers of smoky whiskies, Smokehead draws on single malt whiskies from the Scottish island of Islay, which have been matured and re-aged in various casks.

Smokehead matured for 15 years in oak barrels.
Bottled at 43% alcohol by volume, not chill-filtered.

Aroma: Oily, phenolic, and salty. Preserved lemon and mineral aromas transition to grilled fish and herbal notes of rosemary and thyme roasting in a campfire.

Taste: Ash and salt notes are followed by soft, sweet citrus fruits, fine vanilla ice cream and barley, interwoven with earthy peat, which plays the main role.
