Mortlach 13 Years Special Release 2021 0.7l alc. 55.9 Vol.-%

There were once seven whiskey distilleries in the town of Dufftown. Today there are only five left - Mortlach is one of them. Founded in 1823, the distillery currently belongs to one of the largest spirits companies in the world, whose blended whiskeys are mainly produced for. Mortlach had a famous apprentice: William Grant trained there and later founded the Glenfiddich distillery in the same town.

Mortlach matured for 13 years in a combination of former bourbon barrels and fresh barrels made of American white oak (Virgin Oak). Bottled with a strong 55.9% vol. Alcohol, without coloring and not cold filtered.

Aroma: Earthy notes with fresh wood, spices and delicate sweetness, hints of sour fruits.

Taste: Sweetness and spice mixed with vanilla and pepper, chili peppers, underlying fruit and fresh oak.
