The Macallan Distillery, located in the small town of Craigellachie on the banks of the River Spey, was one of the first legal distilleries in Scotland. Founded in 1824, Macallan is now one of the largest producers of single malt whisky in Scotland. Old bottlings regularly fetch record prices at auctions worldwide. Since 2017, the new distillery has been producing whisky on a total of 36 stills.

The Macallan Vibrant Oak Single Malt is the fourth edition of the annual The Harmony Collection. The series explores experiments with organic byproducts from packaging, as well as its own creative processes during production and/or maturation.

Macallan The Harmony Vibrant Oak matured for an unspecified period in first and refill American oak sherry casks. Bottled at 44.2% ABV, without coloring and non-chill filtered.

Aroma: Intense vanilla pod, accompanied by sweet sorbet and lime zest, gives way to accents of pear, embedded in delicate vanilla sponge cake.

Taste: Creamy vanilla panna cotta, buttery shortcrust pastry, lightly toasted coconut with almond brittle, apple and sweet oak.
