Laphroaig Elements 1.0 0.7l, alc. 58.6 Vol.-%

The Laphroaig Distillery was officially founded in 1815 in the south of the Scottish Hebridean island of Islay. During Prohibition, the distillery's whiskey was sold as medicine, which explains the appearance and features of the whiskeys. In 1994 the distillery received the Royal Warrant from King Charles III. handed over. He really appreciates Laphroaig's smoky single malt whiskey and visits the distillery regularly. Laphroaig means something like “the beautiful hollow on the wide bay”.

With Elements 1.0 we show Laphroaig from a new and unexpected side. For this first bottling in a new series, our Master Blender let his imagination run wild and experimented with our fermentation process to create a whiskey that reveals unexpected flavor dimensions.

Aroma: Initially maritime with notes of smoky bacon, followed by strawberry jam, smoked pineapple and campfire embers.

Taste: Peppery spice with tropical fruits, as well as cloves and licorice.
