Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 9 0.7l, alc. 59.2 Vol.-%

Originally founded in 1972, Glengyle shares the same fate as almost all of Campbeltown's distilleries. Hedley Wright, descendant of founder William Mitchell and owner of Springbank Distillery, purchased the old Glengyle buildings in November 2000 and began renovation work. When it came to the equipment for producing the single malt, he mainly used used equipment. The Glengyle Distillery reopened in 2004 and the first New Make was distilled on March 25th.

Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 9 was matured for an unspecified time in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks . Bottled with a powerful 58.4 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not cold filtered.

Aroma: Notes of freshly baked shortcrust pastry, cream soda, banana bread and coconut flakes with a good dose of peat smoke.

Taste: Creamy vanilla notes with accents of shortbread and vanilla pudding.
