Kilchoman PX Sherry Cask Matured 2023 0.7l, alc. 50 Vol.-%

When Kilchoman Distillery opened in 2005, it was the first new distillery on the Scottish island of Islay in 124 years. At Kilchoman, a relatively high value is placed on regionality and craftsmanship. A certain amount of the barley used for production is grown near the distillery and kilned on our own malt floors. The distillery's single malts delight fans of smoky whiskey all over the world, which means that Kilchoman is expanding little by little.

Kilchoman PX Sherry Cask Matured 2023 was married from 61 casks and matured for at least 5 years in former Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks. Bottled with a strong 50% vol. Alcohol, without coloring and not cold filtered.

Aroma: Sweet sultanas and raisins with rounded peat smoke and layers of licorice and a hint of citrus sweetness.

Taste: Brown sugar and malty sweetness, then orange peel, citrus, dark chocolate and hints of sherry sweetness.
