After his father's death in 1819, John Walker and his mother sold the previous family farm near the Scottish town of Kilmarnock and used the proceeds to open a general store in town. After a while, the range of the shop was expanded to include whiskey. John experimentally applied blending methods used for tea at the time to whiskey. Today, Johnnie Walker is the best-selling Scotch whiskey in the world .

Johnnie Walker Blue Label matured in oak casks for an indefinite period. Bottled with a mild 40 vol. % alcohol.

Aroma: Mild with hints of roasted grains, preserved fruits, harmonious mix of spicy and sweet.

Taste: Nutty with roasted notes, ripe pears and baked apples, grainy with dry oak notes and a hint of smoke.
