Highland Park 12 years Spicy & Well Rounded 0.7l, alc. 40% by volume

Highland Park is not only one of Scotland's northernmost distilleries, but also one of its oldest. The distillery's operators claim it was founded as early as 1798. Located in the small town of Kirkwall in the Orkney Islands, Highland Park produces a spicy, smoky single malt and is one of the few distilleries in Scotland to use its own malts. The bottlings bear nicknames reminiscent of the Vikings.

Highland Park 12 Year Old matured the entire time in former sherry casks. Bottled at a mild 40% ABV, without added color.

Aroma: Sun-ripened Seville oranges and fruitcake, spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Liquid heather honey with waves of heather peat smoke.

Taste: Mature, rounded and pleasantly smoky sweetness with a full-bodied malt note.
