Glenmorangie A Tale of Tokyo 0.7l alc. 46 Vol.-%

Evidence of (illegal) whiskey distilling in the region around the town of Tain dates back to around 1700, but legal whiskey has only been produced at the Glenmorangie Distillery since 1843. The distillery was the first to begin maturing its whiskey in other barrels on a large scale. Over the years, the distillery has been expanded several times, but they deliberately stuck to the small but tall stills, which are unique in shape in all of Scotland.

Glenmorangie A Tale of Tokyo matured for an undefined period of time in ex-Mizunara oak casks, sherry casks and ex-bourbon casks. Bottled at 46% vol. Alcohol.

Aroma: Strong and herbal, with notes of toffee accompanied by incense and saddle soap, followed by a resinous note and a touch of cedar wood.

Taste: A peppery mouthfeel leads to tangy oranges and bitter cherries, as well as fennel and oak.
