Glenmorangie 18 Years The Infinita 0.7l, alc. 43% Vol.

Evidence of (illegal) whisky distilling in the region around the town of Tain dates back to around 1700, but legal whisky has only been produced at the Glenmorangie Distillery since 1843. The distillery was the first to begin maturing its whisky in other casks on a large scale. Over the years, the distillery has been expanded several times, but the distillery has deliberately stuck with the small but tall stills, which are unique in all of Scotland.

The 18-year-old Glenmorangie The Infinita is one of the distillery's few older bottlings. Matured 70% in bourbon casks, the single malt is then refined in 30% sherry casks. The malts are then recombined, highlighting the sweet and fruity distillery character with floral accents.

Aroma: Spicy and caramelized citrus fruits combine with complex notes, floral accents and a blend of honeysuckle, narcissus and jasmine.

Taste: Mild, oily texture, nutty and spicy. Hints of dates and figs follow with a touch of wood smoke.
