A local farmer named George Connell founded Glengoyne Distillery in 1833 in the southern Highlands. However, under the name "Burnfoot of Dumgoyne". In 1861 it was renamed the Glenguin Distillery. It was not until 1906, after it was sold to the Lang brothers, that it was given the name Glengoyne, which we know today. Most of the single malts from the distillery come with an age statement.
Glengoyne Legacy Chapter Three matured in ex-sherry casks for an undefined period. Bottled at 48% ABV. Alcohol, without coloring and not chill-filtered.
Aroma: Fruity and fresh with notes of ripe fruit, aromatic sweetness, sponge cake batter, some cinnamon.
Taste: Sweet with vanilla and honey, light fruity with peaches and quince, dry oak.
