The Glenfarclas distillery was founded in 1836 by Robert Hay in Speyside, Scotland and was licensed to distill whiskey in 1844. In 1865 the distillery was sold to John Grant, whose descendants later renovated the distillery and still own it today. Glenfarclas is known for its single malts, which are matured entirely in former sherry casks. Hardly any Scottish distillery has such an extensive range of different bottlings.

Glenfarclas 12 Years matured the entire time in former sherry casks. Bottled at 43% vol. Alcohol, without dye.

Aroma: Roasted grain, aromatic spice notes with underlying sweetness and charred oak.

Taste: Sweetness and spice in the mix, underlying fruit note, malty with dry oak.
