Edradour 12 years Caledonia 0.7l, alc. 46 Vol.-%

The Edradour distillery, once the smallest distillery in Scotland, has been independently owned again since 2002. Run by Andrew Symington, owner and founder of Signatory Vintage, the Highland distillery truly has an luminary as its owner. Since he took over, a wide variety of bottlings have regularly come onto the market. Edradour bottles single malts without peat smoke under its own name, and with peat smoke as Ballechin.

Edradour 12 Years Caledonia first matured in former bourbon casks and was then matured in Oloroso sherry casks. Bottled at 46 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not cold filtered.

Aroma: Balance of sweetness and spice, ripe plums and apples, some caramel and hazelnuts.

Taste: Chocolate notes, vanilla and caramel, dark fruitiness with chocolatey oak and delicate spices.
