Deanston 12 years 0.7l alc. 46.3 Vol.-%

The Deanston Distillery was founded in 1965 in the town of the same name in the southern Highlands. Production is housed in an 18th-century cotton mill and uses some organically grown barley. The distillery gets its electricity from a power station, which dams the water of the river Teith a few miles away .

Deanston 12 years matured the entire time in ex-bourbon casks. Bottled at 46.3 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not chill-filtered.

Aroma: Vanilla and icing sugar, tart grain with delicate fruit and fresh oak.

Taste: Sweet and fruity, mirabelle plum and ripe pear, malty, delicate spiciness with a hint of oak.
