The Clydeside Distillery was founded in 2017 by Tim Morrison, a member of the well-known Morrison-Bowmore clan. It is located in Glasgow's harbor basin, and the distilleries were built in the 'Pumphouse,' where customs and taxes were formerly monitored. The Lowland distillery's first single malt whisky is called Stobcross, named after a historic crossroads.
The distillery's bottling is called Napier, named after the historic shipbuilder Robert Napier, whose craft motto was incorporated into the production of this single malt: Quality!
Clydeside Napier is made from 100% Scottish barley and water from Loch Katrine. The whisky was then matured for six years in Oloroso sherry casks and bottled at 46% ABV in its natural color without cow filtration.
Aroma: Ripe berries, sweet roses and tropical tones.
Taste: Orange marmalade, cherry and vanilla.
