The Bruichladdich distillery was founded in 1881 by the Harvey brothers on the banks of Loch Indaal. Closed in 1994, a group of private investors breathed new life into the distillery in 2000. Today, Bruichladdich produces single malt whisky under its own name on the island of Islay, completely without peat smoke.
