Founded in 1779, Bowmore is the oldest whiskey distillery on the Scottish Isle of Islay. Known for its smoky whiskeys, Bowmore is, however, one of the milder representatives of the island, with a smoke content of around 35 ppm in the malt. In addition to its bottlings, the distillery is known for Vault No.1 - the only warehouse in Scotland that is below sea level.

Bowmore 12 years matured in a combination of former bourbon and sherry casks. Bottled at a mild 40 vol. % alcohol.

Aroma: Light peat smoke, sweet honey with an underlying fruit note and mild spices.

Taste: Sweet with vanilla and honey, some pepper, leather and mineral peat smoke.
