The Bladnoch distillery, situated on the river of the same name, is the southernmost whiskey distillery in Scotland that is still producing. After it was founded in 1817, the distillery looks back on some very dark times: countless changes of ownership, temporary closures. In 2015 the distillery was taken over by an Australian entrepreneur who breathed new life into Bladnoch and modernized it.

Bladnoch Samsara matured in ex-bourbon casks for an undefined period of time before receiving a post-maturation in red wine casks from California. Bottled at 46.7 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not chill-filtered.

Aroma: Delicate floweriness with sweet and sour fruit notes, caramel and slightly dry oak.

Taste: Malty with citrus and zest, some pepper, caramel and hints of sesame.
