Big Peat Islay Blended Malt Scotch Whiskey 0.7l, alc. 46% vol.

Big Peat is the work of independent bottler Douglas Laing and part of Remarkable Regional Malts. This series is dedicated to the different regions of Scotland and reflects their individual character traits in terms of taste across various bottlings. Big Peat represents the island of Islay with its smoky whiskeys. The single malts of four different distilleries (Ardbeg, Caol Ila, Bowmore, Port Ellen ) are married to a blended malt whiskey.

Big Peat matured in ex-bourbon casks for an unspecified amount of time. Bottled at 46 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not chill-filtered.

Aroma: Maritime freshness, citrus, some leather with herbs, iodine and strong peat smoke.

Taste: Smoky with a slight sweetness and spices, unripe fruit, malt and peanuts.
