Auchentoshan Dark Oak 1.0l, alc. 43 Vol.-%

Founded in 1825 just outside Glasgow, the Auchentoshan distillery produces single malt whiskey that is triple distilled. What is more typical in Ireland is less common in Scotland. A triple distillation allows the spirit and later whiskey to mature very mildly, which makes Auchentoshan, translated as "corner of the field", very popular, especially with beginners.

Auchentoshan Dark Oak matured in a combination of ex-Bourbon, Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks for an unspecified amount of time. Bottled at 43 vol. % alcohol.

Aroma: Spicy and sweet alternating with chocolate and roasted nuts, delicately fruity.

Taste: Creamy-sweet with toffee, mild spices, dark fruits and nut chocolate.
