Ardnamurchan AD/10 10 years 0.7l alc. 50 Vol.-%

The Ardnamurchan Distillery is located in the Scottish Highlands and is considered one of the most remote distilleries in all of Scotland. The distillery is named after the peninsula on which it is located. Construction began in 2013 and production began in 2014 on two wash stills and one spirit still. Ardnamurchan is owned by Adelphi Distillers Ltd., an independent bottler.

The first release with an age statement of 10 years consists of an unpeated distillate and is fully matured in bourbon barrels. This is followed by a 13 to 14 month finish in Champagne Paul Launois barriques. Bottled at 50% ABV

Nose: Tropical and rich with ripe mangos, diced pineapple and lots of honey. Baked bananas, brown sugar and figs with wine gums follow. Deepens over time with darker tones of crème caramel, toffee and white chocolate.

Taste: Waxy with hints of honey again, plus linseed oil, warming spices and gingerbread, before fresh pineapple and cedar notes take over.
