The Suntory company was founded in 1899 by Shinjiro Torii as a beverage manufacturer and is Japan's largest whiskey producer. Distilleries such as Yamazaki and Hakushu are owned by the company and their single malts are enjoying growing popularity around the world. In 2014, the Jim Beam company was acquired with all owned distilleries in the USA, Ireland and Scotland, including all other brands. Suntory is one of the five largest spirits companies in the world.

Suntory Kakubin Yellow Label matured in oak barrels for an undefined period. Bottled with a mild 40% vol. Alcohol.

Aroma: Light and delicately sweet with robust grain, hints of fruit and its peel, some spice.

Taste: Malt sugar, hints of popcorn and caramel, pear peel and a hint of spicy oak.
