Midleton Very Rare 2024 Irish Whiskey 0.7l, alc. 40% vol.

In 1966, John Power & Son, John Jameson & Son, and the Cork Distilleries Company (which operated the Old Midleton Distillery) merged to form the Irish Distillers Group. Subsequently, it was decided to close the existing distilleries and consolidate all production in a new, state-of-the-art facility. This was built in Midleton. Production at the Old Jameson Distillery ceased in 1975 and began at the new one. The old distillery has since been converted into a visitor center.

Midleton Very Rare 2024 matured for an unspecified period in ex-bourbon barrels. Bottled at a mild 40% ABV.

Aroma: Vanilla scent with notes of flowers, herbs, apples, warm spices, oak, caramel and heather honey .

Taste: Aromas of juicy nectarines, warm crème brûlée, candied apples, and chocolate-dipped honeycomb. Beneath lies a rich carpet of pot still spices and charred oak.
