The Glenfiddich distillery was built between 1886 and 1887 by William Grant and began production on Christmas Day 1887. In 1892, the founder took a break from managing Glenfiddich Distillery to establish the nearby Balvenie distillery, which is also still owned by William Grant & Sons. In 1963, the distinctive three-sided Glenfiddich bottle was introduced. In the same year, the distillery also launched the first ever official single malt whisky on the market.

Glenfiddich 18 Jahre reifte die komplette Zeit in einer Kombination aus ehemaligen Bourbon- und Sherryfässern. Abgefüllt mit milden 40 % vol. Alkohol.

Aroma: Reife Fruchtnoten, zuckrige Süße, Zimt, aromatisches Eichenholz mit etwas Nelke.

Geschmack: Süß und fruchtig mit glasierten Birnen und kandierten Äpfeln, Gewürzen und leicht trockener Eiche.
