Benriach 12 years The Smoky Twelve 0.7l, alc. 46 Vol.-%

The Benriach distillery was founded in 1898 between the towns of Elgin and Rothes. The distillery is characterized by its willingness to experiment - both with malt and barrels. Benriach produces - rather untypically for Speyside - single malt whiskey that is sometimes very smoky and, in addition to the whiskey without peat smoke, matures it in a variety of different barrels.

Benriach 12 Years The Smoky Twelve matured in a combination of former bourbon, sherry and Marsala casks. Bottled at 46 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not cold filtered.

Aroma: Sweet notes of vanilla and caramel, roasted grains, vinous aromas with a hint of smoke.

Taste: Hints of dark chocolate, dry grains, sweet berries, oranges and smoked meat.
