Slyrs Bavarian Peat Single Malt Whiskey 0.7l, 43% Vol

The Slyrs distillery has been producing single malt whiskey since 1999. In the beginning, the Lantenhammer distillery housed the production, from 2007 in its own premises in the immediate vicinity of the Schliersee. Since the beginning of 2022, Slyrs has been an independent company, which is now known beyond the German borders with a large number of different bottlings.

Slyrs Bavarian Peat matured in a combination of ex-bourbon, sherry and rum casks for an undefined period of time. Bottled at 43 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not chill-filtered.

Nose: Medium-bodied, earthy peat smoke with sweetness and herbs, some oak and citrus.

Taste: Floral and smoky with a mix of sugary sweetness, spices and bright fruits.
