The original Wolfburn Distillery was founded in 1821 by William Smith & Co in the North Highlands. Production stopped around 1850 and the distillery fell into disrepair. In 1872 only ruins remained. Plans for a new distillery not far from the site of the old facility only emerged in 2011. Whiskey production started in January 2013.
Wolfburn Langskip matured in ex-bourbon casks for an unspecified amount of time. Bottled with a strong 58 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not chill-filtered.
Aroma: Sweet and fruity, fresh with floral notes, delicate spiciness and some oak.
