Wolfburn 10 years Sherry Cask 0.7l, alc. 46 Vol.-%

The original Wolfburn Distillery was founded in 1821 by William Smith & Co in the North Highlands. Production stopped around 1850 and the distillery fell into disrepair. In 1872 only ruins remained. Plans for a new distillery not far from the site of the old facility only emerged in 2011. Whiskey production started in January 2013.

Wolfburn 10 Year Old Sherry Cask matured completely in second fill Oloroso sherry casks . Bottled at 46 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not chill-filtered.

Aroma: Mild with a mix of sweetness and spices, delicate sherry, hints of fruit and slightly nutty oak.

Taste: Fruity with ripe pears and dark dried fruits, sweet with vanilla and toffee, delicately spicy, chocolaty oak.
