The Big Smoke Duncan Taylor Blended Malt Scotch Whiskey 0.7l, alc. 50% by volume

The Duncan Taylor company was founded in Glasgow in 1938. Over the decades, the independent bottler has developed strong relationships with distilleries across Scotland. The company mostly brought its own barrels to the respective distilleries and had them filled with New Make. Over the years, this has led to enormous cask inventories, from which Duncan Taylor still creates excellent bottlings today.

The Big Smoke matured in ex-bourbon casks for an unspecified amount of time. Bottled at a strong 50 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not chill-filtered.

Aroma: Malty sweetness, some pepper, maritime with herbs and peat smoke, slightly ashy.

Taste: Citrus accented and fresh, malty and sweet with herbal candies, iodine and smoke.
