In 1966, the companies John Power & Son, John Jameson & Son and the Cork Distilleries Company (which operated the Old Midleton Distillery) merged to form the Irish Distillers Group. Subsequently, it was decided to close the existing distilleries and concentrate all production in a new, very modern facility. This was built in Midleton. In 1975, production ended at the Old Jameson Distillery and began at the new one. The old distillery has since been converted into a visitor center.

Redbreast 12 Jahre Cask Strength reifte die komplette Zeit in einer Kombination aus ehemaligen Bourbon- und Sherryfässern. Abgefüllt mit kräftigen 57,2 % vol. Alkohol, nicht kältefiltriert.

Aroma: Geröstetes Getreide mit pfeffriger Würze, Zitrusfrüchten und -schale, trockene Eiche.

Geschmack: Würze und Süße im Mix, Pfeffer und Karamell, Blutorange und Grapefruit, trockenes Getreide.
