The Oban Distillery was founded back in 1794 in the small town of the same name. The distillery is one of the few remaining distilleries that are located in the town itself and do not produce outside. Oban forms the border between the Scottish Highlands and the islands, both geographically and in terms of the character of the single malt itself. Bottlings from the distillery are rather rare. Oban is known for its 14-year-old single malt, which is part of the Classic Malts range.

Oban 14 years matured the entire time in oak casks. Bottled with 43% alcohol by volume.

Aroma: Maritime notes, ripe citrus fruits with sweetness and spice in the mix, some smoke and oak.

Taste: Dry and spicy with some peat smoke, sugared grapefruit and aromatic oak notes.
