The Oban Distillery was founded back in 1794 in the small town of the same name. The distillery is one of the few remaining distilleries that are located in the town itself and do not produce outside. Oban forms the border between the Scottish Highlands and the islands, both geographically and in terms of the character of the single malt itself. Bottlings from the distillery are rather rare. Oban is known for its 14-year-old single malt, which is part of the Classic Malts range.

Oban 10 Jahre reifte zuerst in ehemaligen Bourbonfässern und erhielt im Anschluss eine Nachreifung in karibischen Pot-Still-Rum-Fässern. Abgefüllt mit kräftigen 58vol. % Alkohol.

Aroma: Aromen von tropischen Früchten, Mango und Zuckerrohr

Geschmack: Noten tropischer Früchte, einem Hauch exotischer Meeresbrise und trockenem Eichenholz.
