The Macallan distillery, located in the small town of Craigellachie on the banks of the River Spey, was one of the first legal distilleries in Scotland. Founded in 1824, Macallan is now one of the largest producers of single malt whisky in Scotland. Old bottlings regularly fetch record sums at auctions worldwide. Since 2017, the new distillery has been producing on a total of 36 stills.

Macallan Rare Cask 2022 reifte für nicht definierte Zeit in verschiedenen Eichenfässer mit einer tiefen rubinroten Farbe. Abgefüllt mit 43 vol. % Alkohol, ohne Farbstoff. Die Macallan Brennerei arbeitete für diese Edition mit der Geigerin Nicola Benedetti zusammen.

Aroma: Süße Vanillenoten mit Anklängen von Rosinen, grünen Äpfeln und Zitrusfrüchten, zarte Eiche.

Geschmack: Süße Trockenfrüchte mit Rosinen und Feigen, Orangenschale und Vanille, dunkle Schokolade.
