The Macallan Distillery, located in the small town of Craigellachie on the banks of the River Spey, was one of the first legal distilleries in Scotland. Founded in 1824, Macallan is now one of the largest producers of single malt whisky in Scotland. Old bottlings regularly fetch record prices at auctions worldwide. Since 2017, the new distillery has been producing whisky with a total of 36 stills. This Macallan Classic Cut is the 8th bottling from Macallan's limited annual series.

Macallan Classic Cut matured for an unspecified period in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. Bottled at a robust 52.4% alcohol by volume, without coloring.

Nose: Rich vanilla, orchard fruits, marzipan and citrus peel meet freshly picked herbs and sweet accents of oak.

Palate: Rich vanilla, baked custard, milk chocolate, and sweet green apple blend together, with balanced oak spices at the end. Adding a few drops of water releases tropical fruit notes.
