The Macallan distillery, located in the small town of Craigellachie on the banks of the River Spey, was one of the first legal distilleries in Scotland. Founded in 1824, Macallan is now one of the largest producers of single malt whisky in Scotland. Old bottlings regularly fetch record sums at auctions worldwide. Since 2017, the new distillery has been producing on a total of 36 stills.

Macallan 30 Jahre Sherry Oak reifte die komplette Zeit in Eichenholzfässer aus dem spanischen Jerez, die zuvor Oloroso-Sherry beherbergten. Abgefüllt mit 43 vol. % Alkohol, ohne Farbstoff.

Aroma: Reihhaltige Noten von Sherry treffen auf Orangen, Nelken, Muskatnuss und Holzrauch.  

Geschmack: seidenweich am Gaumen, mit Aromen von getrockneten Früchten, Sherry und filigranen Anklängen von Eichenholz
