The Macallan distillery, located in the small town of Craigellachie on the banks of the River Spey, was one of the first legal distilleries in Scotland. Founded in 1824, Macallan is now one of the largest producers of single malt whisky in Scotland. Old bottlings regularly fetch record sums at auctions worldwide. Since 2017, the new distillery has been producing on a total of 36 stills.

Macallan 18 Jahre Sherry Oak reifte die komplette Zeit in ehemaligen Sherryfässern. Abgefüllt mit 43 vol. % Alkohol, ohne Farbstoff.

Aroma: Trockenfrüchte und Anklänge von Ingwer, cremig und süß mit Noten von Kaffee, Milchschokolade und Zimt.

Geschmack: Fruchtig und süß mit kandiertem Ingwer und Orangen, Trockenfrüchten, würzig mit Nelke und Tabak.
