Laphroaig PX Cask 1,0l, alc. 48 Vol.-%

The Laphroaig Distillery was officially founded in 1815 in the south of the Scottish Hebridean island of Islay. During Prohibition, the distillery's whisky was sold as medicine, which explains the appearance and features of the whiskies. In 1994, the distillery received the Royal Warrant from King Charles III. He greatly appreciates the smoky single malt whisky from Laphroaig and visits the distillery regularly. Laphroaig translates as "the beautiful hollow by the wide bay".

Laphroaig PX Cask reifte für nicht definierte Zeit zuerst in ehemaligen Bourbonfässern, danach in Quarter Casks und zuletzt in Pedro Ximenez-Sherryfässern. Abgefüllt mit 48 vol. % Alkohol, nicht kältefiltriert.

Aroma: Kräuterbetont und süß, leicht schokoladige Eiche mit Anklängen von Frucht und verhaltenem Torfrauch.

Geschmack: Süß mit etwas Rosine, Schokolade und Kräuterhonig, Eiche und Torfrauch, trocken-nussig.
