Lagavulin is a whisky distillery in the town of the same name on the Isle of Islay in Scotland. Whisky was produced at the site of the current distillery as early as 1742. However, the first legal distillery was not founded until 1816 by John Johnston. Located in the south of the island, in close proximity to Ardbeg and Laphroaig, Lagavulin produces smoky single malt whisky like its neighbors. The name of the distillery translates as "the hollow of the mill".

Lagavulin Distillers Edition 2022 reifte zuerst in einer Kombination aus ehemaligen Bourbon- und Sherryfässern und erhielt im Anschluss eine Nachreifung in Pedro Ximenez-Sherryfässern. Abgefüllt mit 43 vol. % Alkohol.

Aroma: Süß und rauchig mit Anklängen von Studentenfutter und Dörrobst, Früchten und etwas Mokka, leicht würzige Eiche.

Geschmack: Geröstetes Malz, aromatischer Mix aus Süße und Würze mit Rosinen und Nüssen, Liebstöckel und Torfrauch.
