Isle of Raasay Single Malt Scotch Whiskey 0.7l, alc. 46.4% vol.

The Raasay Distillery, which opened in 2017, is the first legal distillery on the Scottish island of the same name. In collaboration with local small farmers, the distillery grows its own barley on site. Local peat is used to dry these. Raasay is committed to further increasing these collaborations to produce a 100% local single malt whiskey from this island.

Isle of Raasay Single Malt Scotch Whiskey matured for an undefined period of time in a combination of former rye and red wine barrels, plus fresh oak barrels. Bottled at 46.4 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not cold filtered.

Aroma: Delicate, sweet and spicy peat smoke with barley malt, powdered sugar and hints of fruit.

Taste: Spicy grain with delicate marshmallow sweetness, maritime freshness, pepper and some smoke.
