Islay Mist 12 years Blended Scotch Whisky 0,7l, alc. 40 Vol.-%

The Islay Mist brand owes its existence to a celebration held to mark the 21st birthday of the son (later Lord Margadale) of the Laird of Islay House. It was thought that the famous Laphroaig single malt might be too heavy for such an important celebration with guests from near and far, so it was blended with selected Speyside single malts and Lowland single grains. The result proved so popular that a similar bottling was marketed under the name Islay Mist.

Islay Mist 12 years matured the entire time in oak casks. Bottled with 40 vol. % alcohol.

Aroma: Floral with earthy notes, exotic spices and slightly smoky, tar.

Taste: Sweet with syrup and caramel, hints of licorice and oak, pleasant smoky note.
