In 1966, the companies John Power & Son, John Jameson & Son and the Cork Distilleries Company (which operated the Old Midleton Distillery) merged to form the Irish Distillers Group. Subsequently, it was decided to close the existing distilleries and concentrate all production in a new, very modern facility. This was built in Midleton. In 1975, production ended at the Old Jameson Distillery and began at the new one. The old distillery has since been converted into a visitor center.

Green Spot Château Léoville Barton reifte für nicht definierte Zeit in einer Kombination aus ehemaligen Bourbon- und Sherryfässern und erhielt im Anschluss eine Nachreifung in Bordeaux-Rotweinfässern. Abgefüllt mit 46 % vol. Alkohol.

Aroma: Würzig und holzbetont mit einem Mix aus hellen und dunklen Fruchtnoten, floral.

Geschmack: Würze und Süße in der Balance, etwas Karamell und Nelken, Beerenfrüchte und grüne Äpfel.
