Glenmorangie A Tale of Ice Cream 0.7l alc. 46% vol.

Evidence of (illegal) whisky distilling in the region around the town of Tain dates back to around 1700, but the Glenmorangie Distillery has only been producing legal whisky since 1843. The distillery was the first to start maturing its whisky in other barrels on a large scale. Over the years, the distillery was expanded several times, but the small but tall stills were deliberately retained, which are unique in all of Scotland.

Aroma: A dash of manuka honey and lemon-flavoured butterscotch. Baked raisin bread, candied orange peel, peaches, toffee and a hint of spice. With a splash of water, you get vanilla crème anglaise, a hint of coconut and a hint of almond marzipan.

Taste: The texture is thick, rich and creamy. A huge explosion of sweet and spicy flavours follows. Brioche, almond marzipan, honeycomb, fudge, lemon sorbet and dried coconut. Spices warm the palate with cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and clove.
