The history of the Glenlivet distillery is impressive. Founded in 1824 by George Smith as the first legally producing distillery in Scotland, Glenlivet made a name for itself in the region of the same name. Many other distilleries sprung up almost overnight as a result of the licensing and use the name "Glenlivet" in their own name to share in the success of the distillery founded by George Smith. Today, Glenlivet is one of the most successful Scottish distilleries in the world, alongside Macallan and Glenfiddich.

Glenlivet 21 years matured for the entire time in a combination of first fill Oloroso sherry casks, cognac casks made from Troncais oak and vintage Colheita port casks. Bottled at a mild 40% alcohol by volume.

Aroma: Caramelized pears and juicy peaches meet spicy notes of cinnamon and nutmeg

Taste: Complex, fruity and spicy, with hints of dried apricots, juicy sultanas and chocolate-covered ginger.
