A local farmer named George Connell founded the Glengoyne Distillery in the southern Highlands in 1833. However, under the name "Burnfoot of Dumgoyne". It was then renamed Glenguin Distillery in 1861. It was not until 1906, following its sale to the Lang brothers, that it was given the name "Glengoyne" that we know today. Most of the distillery's single malts are released with an age statement.
Glengoyne 15 years matured the entire time in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks. Bottled with 43 % vol. Alcohol, without colorant.
Aroma: Toasted cereals, ripe citrus fruits with a mix of sweetness and acidity, delicate chocolaty oak.
Taste: Fruity with oranges and limes, spicy with cinnamon and walnuts, caramel and chocolate.
