Glenfarclas Family Casks 2005 0.7l, alc. 59.3% vol.

The Glenfarclas distillery was founded in 1836 by Robert Hay in the Scottish Speyside and was granted a license to distill whisky in 1844. In 1865 the distillery was sold to John Grant, whose descendants later renovated the distillery and still own it today. Glenfarclas is known for its single malts, which mature entirely in former sherry casks. Hardly any other Scottish distillery has such an extensive range of different bottlings.

Glenfarclas Family Cask matured from 2005 to 2024 in a single sherry cask (cask no. 2462). Bottled with a strong 60.4% alcohol by volume, no coloring, not chill-filtered.

Aroma: Fruity with berries and dried fruit, brown sugar and trail mix, chocolaty oak.

Taste: Cherries and strawberries with distinctive sweetness, raisins and nuts, milk coffee and delicate bitterness.
