Glenfarclas Family Casks 2005 0,7l, alc. 59,3 Vol.-%

The Glenfarclas distillery was founded in 1836 by Robert Hay in Speyside, Scotland, and was licensed to distil whisky in 1844. In 1865, the distillery was sold to John Grant, whose descendants later renovated the distillery and still own it today. Glenfarclas is known for its single malts, which are matured entirely in ex-sherry casks. Hardly any other Scottish distillery has such an extensive range of different bottlings.

Glenfarclas Family Cask reifte von 2005 bis 2024  in einem einzelnen Sherryfass (FassNr.2462). Abgefüllt mit kräftigen 60,4 % vol. Alkohol, ohne Farbstoff, nicht kältefiltriert.

Aroma: Fruity with berries and dried fruit, brown sugar and trail mix, chocolaty oak.

Taste: Cherries and strawberries with a distinctive sweetness, raisins and nuts, café au lait and a delicate bitterness.
