An association under the leadership of James Allardice founded the Glendronach distillery in the Scottish town of Huntly in 1826. Most recently under the leadership of Billy Walker, the distillery first became an insider tip and later an iconic brand. Glendronach's single malts, which are matured entirely in Spanish sherry casks, are particularly popular.

Glendronach Port Wood matured for a short time in a combination of ex-port wine and sherry casks. Bottled with 46 % vol. alcohol, without colorant.

Aroma: Ripe berries, hints of marmalade and ginger, some licorice and floral notes.

Taste: Fruity with blackberries and oranges, gingerbread spice and dry, nutty oak.
