Before the distillery passed to the current owner, Glencadam produced heavily for the blending industry. Today, however, the focus is on marketing its own single malts.
Glencadam Origin 1825 first matured for an undefined period in ex-bourbon casks and was then matured in sherry casks. Bottled at a mild 40 % vol. Alcohol, without colorant.
Aroma: Floral-fresh with roasted cereals, mix of sweet and spicy with mild fruitiness.
Taste: Vanilla, malt sugar, grassy notes, green apples and some oak.
