The Deanston Distillery was founded in 1965 in the town of the same name in the southern Highlands. Production takes place in an 18th century cotton mill and uses partly organically grown barley. Deanston Virgin Oak matured for an unspecified period of time in former bourbon barrels before being further matured in fresh oak barrels (virgin oak). Bottled at cask strength with 58.5% alcohol by volume, without coloring and not chill-filtered.
